Tribal eye

I would look ok in black and white, but I like these colours better. (And no, it's not supposed to be an eye of horus.)

Bird skull and bone-likes wings

Yes, I cheated and did the wings symmetry on the computer :p

It works fine with only half of the design too...

Fire dragon

Dragon's head and flames. (Vectorized, for once).

Stars

A kind of tribalish symmetrical star tattoo, and a sewn one - not sure about the polka dots...
Actually, this was a "no inspiration" day. :(

Tribal dragon

I tried to design a dynamic tribal dragon, because a friend kept asking me to do a tribal critter (a wolf, actually), and a dragon was the only thing that inspired me.

And guess what? I'm actually not very found of tribal tattoos on skin, but they are fun to draw on paper ;)  (... And a lot less fun to vectorise, unfortunately. So: pencil + Inkscape)

Also, the shape of the spikes are a kind of tip of the hat to this over-used and over-stolen (but still awesome) dragon from 2004, by RG571. (As far as I know, the size was decreased and the watermark was added long after it appeared everywhere on the net.)

Bone tribal wings

Bone-like bio whatever tribal wings tattoo design. Yep. (I love my descriptions ... not).
bone tribal wings, shaded.
tribal wings, black.

Actualy, I was about to post some very colorful stuff, but given I saw halloween themed things everywhere on the net, I opted for a darker design. The vivid one will be for next sunday :p
And I think I found a way to smooth a bit the grain of the pencil without making it look too blurry, happy me.

On a side note, I'm fighting with Blogspot's new themes right now, to update to one of their new template but to keep the same look (except it's a bit wider). I hope I didn't break anything.

Tribal bio?

No sure what to call this. A tribal bio/organic tattoo, I guess. I wish I could do the shading faster ^^.

Ornamental wings tattoo

Thin and decorative wings-like shape.

For once something simple that I like :)
I wonder if it would be better to include just one wing, in bigger size, and keep the 2 wings just for a preview.

Violet Leopard Butterfly & tribal

Pink/violet butterfly with a leopard pattern.

The funny thing is that I though I had a quite original idea doing this, but... for one, leopard butterflies do exist in reality (but not in violet, see Phalanta phalantha), and also, several persons already did that kind of butterfly with a big cat pattern (for example this one looks pretty nice).
So much for my "original" idea, heh :p

Some more tribal designs

Two small tribal tattoo designs. The one with grey parts looks fine too with those parts in red - but I didn't feel like uploading 2 version for such a small change, sorry.

Vertical tribal (for an arm?)

And another tribal tattoo design... damn, I promise I'll try something a bit more interesting next.

I guess the round shape at the top make this one suitable for an upper arm. At least, I often saw tribal with circular shapes on the top that fits rather well on arms.

The grey inlay is there to prevent it to look too heavy.

Ornamental tribal whatever tattoos

Yes, I lacked inspiration for the title :p. Two simple ornamental tribal-ish tattoo designs.

Symmetrical gothic tattoo design

A kind of gothic / tribal tattoo design. I like the carving effect, as in old churches.

This one took forever and a day, just because I'm effing slow at shading. It's not that it's so difficult to shade, it's that's it's very difficult not to smudge what has already been shaded. (Anyone got some tips to avoid the smudging? So far I use post-it notes to mask some parts of the drawing.)

Black ink + pencils (mostly HB, and a bit of 2B and 5B).
The shadow around the design was done on computer, because I was to afraid to mess everything and smuuuudge the whole stuff.

Random triskele tribal tattoos

Moving the "old" tattoo designs from blog to blog...
(Why the hell didn't I put the blog address & license on those? They're already "stolen" in many places ¬_¬. As if it was too difficult just to give credit...)
Triskel time!
This one is just a random tribalized triskele ...

... and a random dragon-triskele-tribal whatever ...

... and a weird mix between odin horns and triskele (and for some reason I think the horns looks greek, go figure)

Something a Bit Floral!

Congrads to the lucky people who took home the one of a kind, unique tattoos in the auction. They were stunning works of art.

I'm starting off today with another facial tattoo. The Heart Feather Facial Tattoo is a gorgeous addition to your tatt collection. Its two red hearts and feathery florish adds the finishing touch to any look, from sexy through to couture!

I just love it when I notice AFTER I do pics that I have lost body parts. Here I've lost my thumbs, but thats ok, I'll pretend they are bent under into my palms. Tribal Florist is a gorgeous front and back tattoo that has colourful flowers entwined around the dark tribal designs. It is available in two versions. There is the sleeveless version (above) for those who like to have their arms free of tattoos, and sleeved (below) for those who like a more tattooed look.

There is also a leg layer which runs from the left hip down the length of the leg in the same entwined floral design.

The Limited Edition Sale will be starting soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
